In case you missed it, Events DC was proud to return to Rio de Janeiro, invited back by the local community to continue building on our growing international partnership—one that celebrates culture, community and collaboration.
From the cranking rhythms of Go-Go—featuring Washington, DC’s own and America's Got Talent artist Malik DOPE—to the vibrant beats of Samba, we proudly left a District presence in Rio, showcasing the unique cultural exchange between our cities. This visit builds upon our past success, further solidifying the deep bond between Washington, DC and Rio de Janeiro while promoting DC as a premier destination for arts, culture and events.
Thank you Danielle Barros, Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy for welcoming us back, to Bar da Laje for hosting a concert night and the Secretary of Finance and Treasury to discuss future partnerships, reinforcing our shared commitment to fostering global connections through the arts.
As we celebrated five years of Go-Go as DC’s official music and DC’s status as the nation’s sports capital, we look forward to welcoming our friends from Rio to Washington, DC, later this year!
