🌍 We are excited to share insights from the recent webinar organized exclusively for patient organizations on Advanced Development in Regenerative Medicine and Biomaterials. This online seminar focused on Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (#ATMPs) and their transformative potential for patients with currently untreatable conditions. Dr. Margot Jehle chaired the session, which brought together 17 participants, including representatives from patient organizations, patient funds, and project partners. The discussions highlighted the critical role of patient organizations in shaping the landscape of ATMPs, especially regarding #awareness and #reimbursement challenges. Key takeaways included the need for improved collaboration between patient organizations and therapy developers. Additionally, addressing reimbursement challenges is essential for facilitating broader access to innovative treatments. A special thanks to our project managers, Ria Hein, Margot Jehle, and Tom Mastenbroek for their leadership and valuable contributions! #ATMPs #RegenerativeMedicine #PatientEngagement #HealthcareInnovation #Biomaterials #PatientOrganizations #EHAB #EuropeanInnovation

✨ We had a wonderful time last week in Portugal at the European Hub for Advanced Development in Regenerative Medicine and Biomaterials (EHAB) 3rd consortium meeting, hosted by 3B's institute of the Universidade do Minho. We all came together to work on our joint mission: to identify regional strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and needs within a consolidated transregional Advanced Therapies and Biomaterials (AT&B) value chain. The goal is to develop a joint action plan to strengthen the performance and capacity of innovation ecosystems, including SMEs, #innovation stakeholders, and their efficient interconnections. Many thanks to our Strategic Advisory Board Members who provided very useful contributions for the further implementation of our project and the establishment of a joint action plan within this specific thematic field of #Regenerative Medicine, #Biomaterials and #ATMPs: Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM), Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC), Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus BV, flanders.bio, BioRegio STERN Management GmbH, A4TEC Association, Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Upper Silesian Accelerator For Commercial Enterprises ReGEN Biomedical

Philippine Doekes and Montse Daban Marín did a great job representing EHAB at the #AdvancedTherapiesEuropeConference in Lisbon. 🇵🇹 Philippine’s presentation of the mapping and analysis of interregional data on the European advanced therapies and biomaterials manufacturing value chain did indeed spark a valuable panel discussion, highlighting… 🗺️ The evolution of regional to national mapping, as already is the case in France and Sweden 🖥️ The need for an open access tool - accessible for both SMEs and individuals - for this database, to facilitate validating data and fostering connections We are very happy with the significant interest from various regions to join EHAB, and we’re very excited for the next steps! 🤝

🌍 EHAB was proud to participate in an inspiring event organized by the VI Smart Health Pilot, where we joined a group of forward-thinking partners to explore the incredible potential of personalized medicine in transforming healthcare! 💊 The VI Smart Health Pilot event, as part of S3 platform, spotlighted how #PersonalizedMedicine can revolutionize patient care, by tailoring medical treatments to the unique characteristics of each individual. We had a fascinating exchange of ideas on how to address the evolving needs of #SmartHealth in Europe, and how to bridge innovation gaps across the entire value chain. 💡 A special highlight was the tour at ReGEN Biomedical, one of the EHAB project partners, where we delved into the opportunities and challenges of advanced therapies and biomaterials. This experience has further fueled our commitment to advancing #innovation in #healthcare. 🚀 Exciting times ahead as we continue to work collaboratively to shape the future of smart health in Europe!
