This collaboration is especially meaningful as Keel’s Landing is co-owned by Trevor Prophet, PE, a member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma—the same Tribe that owns Eastern Shawnee Companies. On February 26, Eastern Shawnee Companies’ Federal Programs Director, Arthur McKinney, joined Clarkson Construction Company for Veterans Community Project (VCP) Commissary Day—an initiative dedicated to ensuring veterans have access to groceries, essential supplies, and a warm meal, generously provided by Katie’s Catering. During the event, Art had the opportunity to meet Chris Admire, Executive Director of VCP KC, and witness firsthand the meaningful impact of VCP’s mission in action. As a veteran himself, Art understands the importance of supporting those who have served. Events like this align with Eastern Shawnee Companies’ core values of service, community, and integrity, and we are honored to contribute to this important cause. Today, Matt Metcalf, PE, F.SAME and Janae Levier, THRP met with 1LT Benjamin Steger, Engineering Officer, U.S. Army, for an insightful discussion on recruiting and talent acquisition. While military and private sector recruitment have distinct challenges, this conversation was a valuable opportunity to compare strategies, share best practices, and explore collaboration. At Eastern Shawnee Companies, we know that strategic recruitment is key—whether in federal contracting or the private sector. Strengthening talent pipelines remains a top priority, and discussions like these help bridge the gap between military, government, and private industry careers.

We are thrilled to announce that Ryan Stobaugh PE, has joined Eastern Shawnee Companies as our new Senior Project Manager! With a wealth of experience in civil engineering, project management, and leadership, Ryan is set to make an incredible impact. Ryan is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri and Kansas and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He brings extensive experience managing complex infrastructure projects, including levee improvements, multifamily site developments, and military installations. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Ryan also demonstrated outstanding leadership during his service, which makes him a perfect fit for ESC’s culture and mission. Ryan's proven track record includes leading multimillion-dollar projects, overseeing teams, and delivering innovative solutions in the engineering and construction industry.
