  • Throwing it back to our work at Buckeye Bahamas Hub—one of the largest petroleum storage facilities in the world! 🌎 With 26 million barrels of capacity, over 80 tanks, and six deep-water berths, this facility plays a critical role in global trade—and now, its onshore and offshore operations are protected by state-of-the-art fire protection systems installed by DynaFire. Our offshore scope included cutting-edge fire alarm and detection systems, automatic water wall deluge systems, and Ansul water oscillating monitors for foam fire suppression, all integrated into their Central Command for real-time monitoring. Onshore, we added advanced gas and flame detection systems in high-risk areas, touch-screen monitoring, and a fiber optic-connected fire alarm network to ensure safety at every turn. We’re proud to showcase our expertise in tackling large-scale, high-stakes projects like this one. • Here’s your quick rundown on everything you need to know about your property’s fire extinguisher inspections: 🧯 What is a Fire Extinguisher Inspection? A fire extinguisher inspection involves checking the condition, functionality, and placement of fire extinguishers to ensure they are ready for use in an emergency. 🧯What’s Checked During an Inspection? Placement & Visibility: Ensure extinguishers are easy to locate and access, and placed in designated locations. Pressure Gauge: The needle should be in the green zone, indicating proper pressure. Physical Condition: Check for dents, corrosion, leaks, or damage. Labeling: Ensure instructions and labels are legible. Hose & Nozzle: Confirm they are free of cracks, obstructions, or wear. Weight: The extinguisher should feel full and not unusually light. Tamper Seal & Pin: The seal should be intact, and the pin securely in place. Inspection Tag: Record the date of the inspection and any necessary maintenance. 🧯How Often Should They Be Inspected? Monthly: A visual check to ensure accessibility and readiness. Annually: A professional inspection by a certified technician. Hydrostatic Testing: Every 5–12 years, depending on the type of extinguisher, to test the cylinder's integrity. 🧯Why Are Inspections Important? Compliance: Required by OSHA, NFPA, and local fire codes. Functionality: Ensures the extinguisher will work in an emergency. Safety: Minimizes risks to life and property during a fire. • As a business owner or manager, ensuring your fire sprinkler system is compliant and ready to protect your team and property is a key responsibility. Regular inspections are required, but what sets quarterly and annual inspections apart? 🚨 Quarterly Inspections These inspections focus on key visual and operational components of your sprinkler system. A technician will check: - Water pressure gauges for proper function. - Control valves to ensure they’re in the correct position and sealed. - Water flow alarms to verify they trigger as expected. Quarterly inspections are about catching small issues early before they become major problems. 🚨 Annual Inspections Annual inspections go much deeper to ensure the system meets all regulatory standards and is fully operational. This includes: - A thorough examination of all sprinkler heads for damage or obstruction. - Testing of alarms, valves, and backflow preventers. - Assessing system performance under simulated emergency conditions. Both types of inspections are critical to maintaining compliance, avoiding costly fines, and ensuring your system works when it matters most. Trust DynaFire to handle your fire sprinkler inspections with precision and care. https://lnkd.in/euq8rFDt

  • Did you know some of our U.S. presidents were strong supporters of fire safety? George Washington wasn’t just the first president—he was also a volunteer firefighter in Virginia and even purchased the town’s first fire engine. 🚒 Millard Fillmore stepped up to save history by helping combat the fire that destroyed part of the Library of Congress in 1851. 📚🔥 Harry S. Truman took fire safety nationwide, convening the National Conference on Fire Prevention in 1947. 🛡️ This Presidents’ Day, let’s honor their commitment to safety—and maybe even give your fire safety systems a presidential check-up!
