Leading the Way: City of Pearland, Texas PD Sets the Standard for DFR and Integrated Public Safety Technology with DroneSense. Pearland Police Department continues to set the bar for innovation in public safety. As one of the nation’s leading agencies in Drone as First Responder (DFR) operations, they have built one of the most advanced and effective DFR programs in the country. Last week, Pearland PD showcased the power of their integrated technology stack when a Flock Safety alert flagged a vehicle tied to a burglary suspect. With no patrol units immediately available, a DFR operator launched a drone using DroneSense, quickly locating the suspect’s vehicle in a busy parking lot. The drone provided real-time situational awareness as officers arrived, leading to a successful arrest. -Another Life Saved with DroneSense- When every second counts, technology can make the difference between life and death. Last week, Det. Sgt. Shawn Gagnon of the Scotland County Sheriff's Office used his Matrice 30T and DroneSense, Inc. to locate an elderly man who had been missing for 36 hours. The individual, a diabetic with dementia, was lost in rough terrain, completely hidden from view at ground level. Using DroneSense’s real-time coordination and video-sharing capabilities, Det. Sgt.
