  • Loved this take on our progressive business practices! “No, this isn’t an ad. Simply highlighting them after reading about the CEO salary cap, some of the awesome benefits they provide their employees, and their charity contributions.” —@corporate.sween on Instagram As Ben explains, this isn’t a paid promotion, and we didn’t have anything to do with it, but we’re deeply flattered for the recognition! P.S. For those wondering, we have a 5-to-1 cap on executive salaries, meaning Dr. Bronner’s executives can’t make more than 5x that of the lowest-wage, fully vested employee.

  • Same great soap, new label! 😍✨🌈 To meet California's new recycling standard, we decreased the size of our labels — which will increase the recyclability of our bottles! Our classic castile soaps haven't changed, but we're once again calling them "Magic Soap" — a nickname we originally got from a 1973 Esquire Magazine article....which just stuck! Some other fun label changes: • Bigger scent name = easier to read 🔍 • Our soaps are now made with Regenerative Organic Certified® Oils 🌱 • Clear dilution icons show you all the ways to use the soap 🫧 • Peek-a-boo portrait of Dr. Bronner himself inside the label! 👀

  • A picture of the Bronner Family at Expo West last year! ✌️🫧🌈 Come to Dr. Bronner's booth #2433! Our updated "Magic Soap" label will be on display, which now has easy-to-read dilutions icons for all our soap uses, and a peek-a-boo portrait of Dr. Bronner inside the label on the bottle. The best part: our soaps are now made with Regenerative Organic Certified® Oils! 🌱

  • So much happening at Natural Products Expo West this year! ✨ Here's what Dr. Bronner's will be up to: Dr. Bronner's has partnered with LIFT Economy, and One Step Closer to announce a new business community for purpose-driven companies—called the Purpose Pledge—at Expo West. A video introducing the effort will debut during the State of Natural and Organic Keynote from 8:30-10am on Wednesday, 3/5, at the Marriot Marquis Ballroom Center. “The organic and natural products industry has been pioneering ecological, healthy, and socially responsible products for decades. I think my grandfather, Emanuel Bronner, would be amazed to see how far we have come, but also dismayed by the state of the world today. As a society, we have to collectively embrace an economy based on ethical, and not extractive and exploitative, business practices. Purpose Pledge is an invitation for companies to rise and journey toward that just and healthy economy together.” —David Bronner Come by Dr. Bronner's booth #2433 to see our updated soap label for 2025, which includes easy-to-read icons for how to use the soaps, a peek-a-boo portrait of Dr. Bronner inside the label on the bottle, and centers "Magic Soap" in our brand name.

  • The Dr. Bronner's label was written first, before there was a product to put it on. ⁣ ⁣⁣ Transformed by the tragedy of losing both his parents in the Holocaust — and deeply alarmed by the rise of the nuclear age — Dr. Emanuel Bronner was convinced the world was on the brink of destruction.⁣ ⁣ So he devoted himself entirely to writing & sharing a peace plan he referred to as the "Moral ABC."⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In it, he emphatically & poetically urged the world to unite as one. "All-One!"⁣ ⁣ He drew inspiration from various religious & historical figures, as well as the stars & the cosmos, to emphasize the point that — despite our ethnic, religious and national differences — there is more about us that is the same and connects us to each other. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ "We are All One or None!" he'd exclaim from a soapbox in Los Angeles, while passing out his family's peppermint castile soap on the side.⁣ ⁣ However, when he realized people were more interested in the soap than absorbing the All-One message, he began printing the message in tiny script directly on the label. Thus, the Dr. Bronner's label was born!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Although Emanuel passed away in 1997, his legacy lives on.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Dr. Bronner's remains family-owned and fully committed to using our profits-talent-muscle to make the world a more peaceful, fair & loving place through our activism & philanthropy, fair trade supply chains, progressive business practices, and more! For We're All One or None! All One! All One! All One!

  • Our esteemed consumer educator (and granddaughter of Dr. Bronner) Lisa Bronner recently did an interview with NxtGen Nexus about our company's unique roots, how the family owned business impacted her life, and more. Oh, and there's this story, too: "There were several moments where the company could have sunk. In 1973 and again in 1988, my grandfather got in deep water with the IRS. He saw his organization as primarily philanthropic, trying to unite the world. The IRS saw it as a manufacturing business. Different tax obligations for each. He ended up owing a bunch of back taxes and in 1988 had to declare bankruptcy. My parents helped navigate the business through that crisis. Another really touchy time was when my grandfather died in 1997. He had made little provision for the succession of the company and it was taxed at the full 50% estate tax level, which was about $2 million on a $4 million company. Then my dad died a year later before that was resolved. It took very careful navigating on the part of my mom and brother David to weather that storm."

  • Dr. Bronner's—the highest-scoring B Corp in the world—will not renew our certification this year due to B Lab's failure to protect the integrity of the standard. ⁣ ⁣ Despite our multi-year effort urging B Lab to strengthen its standards, they have allowed the subsidiaries of multinational companies—that have histories of socially & environmentally destructive practices in their supply chains—to obtain the certification & use it to greenwash their branding.⁣ ⁣ While some companies certified as B Corps do take responsibility and certify all major supply chains to credible eco-social criteria with on-the-ground audits, they are unfortunately a minority and this is not required by B Lab—most glaringly in the case of large multinational companies & their enormous supply chains. ⁣ ⁣ As a purpose-driven company committed to social & environmental justice, Dr. Bronner’s can no longer share the B Corp certification & logo with corporations that do not align with our values.⁣ ⁣ We hope our exit will prompt necessary & overdue action, and that allies who remain B Corp Certified will continue to push to improve the standard from the inside.⁣ ⁣ Read the Bloomberg article here: https://lnkd.in/ggSv6Jrb

As the “fighting & uniting” soap company, we stand firm: racial & social justice is a non-negotiable commitment.⁣ ⁣ Our founder, Emanuel Bronner, built this company on the belief that all living things are interconnected, and that all people can find common cause. This belief continues to guide us today.⁣ ⁣ Through our cultural celebrations, workshops, and open dialogue, we do our best to create a work culture rooted in belonging & inclusion.⁣ ⁣ The comfort & sense of belonging that all people experience in our company is more important to us than any discomfort DEI may trigger.⁣ ⁣ Our DEI programs make us a better company, a stronger business, and a better place to work. And it's essential for creating a more just & compassionate world.⁣ ⁣ "In all we do, let us be fair, generous, and loving to Spaceship Earth and all its inhabitants. For we’re All-One or None! • Happy birthday to the man who started Dr. Bronner's: Emanuel Bronner, third-generation Jewish-German soapmaker! Some of you may know the (shortened) story of how Dr. Bronner's was created...⁣ ⁣ Transformed by the tragedy of losing both his parents in the Holocaust — and deeply alarmed by the rise of the nuclear age — Emanuel was convinced the world was on the brink of destruction, and so devoted himself entirely to writing & sharing a peace plan he referred to as the "Moral ABC."⁣ ⁣ In it, he emphatically & poetically urged the world to unite as one. However, when he realized people were more interested in the soap than absorbing the All-One message, he began printing the Moral ABC in tiny script on the label. Thus, the Dr. Bronner's label was born!⁣ ⁣ Although Emanuel passed away in 1997, his legacy lives on.⁣ ⁣ Dr. Bronner's remains family-owned and fully committed to using our profits-talent-muscle to make the world a more peaceful, fair & loving place through our activism & philanthropy, fair trade supply chains, progressive business practices, and more!
