Developing Directors hosted our second learning series, "Thank You, Now What?", where we guided nonprofit leaders on the essential donor stewardship steps in fundraising. Saying "thank you" is just the beginning. Sustaining, retaining, and growing donors, dollars, and donations is what truly fuels impact. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the session (New Century Chamber Orchestra, Snow Leopard Conservancy, Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity, Operation Inasmuch, Inc., Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Child Advocacy Center, and CUMBERLAND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, INC.), and we are grateful for the many referrals recieved! Alana Zavett Green and Lillian Archer can’t wait to provide more tools for our participants through 1:1 coaching! What’s your go-to donor stewardship strategy? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

We are beyond excited to collaborated with OpenTent to support Salesforce-powered nonprofits with our fundraising coaching and learning programs!
Introducing: The OpenTent Partner Network 🔥 The "power pack" for Salesforce-powered nonprofits. - DESIGN + BRANDING by NoBoringDesign - FUNDRAISING by Developing Directors - FINANCIAL HEALTH by Dana Britto / Cultivar Consulting Starting today, we're offering these services as add-ons to our Salesforce Success Subscriptions. That means: 1. Same quarterly billing - one easy invoice through us 2. Same company values - if you like OpenTent, you'll like these partners too 3. Same business outcomes - our team will coordinate with each provider to integrate how we work together on what matters for each client that quarter Launching a new project? Preparing a report for your board? Implementing a new marketing strategy? We'll help integrate what needs to happen across your CRM, graphic design, chart of accounts, and donor messaging. Through our deep and long-term client relationships we gather a TON of organizational context - and with these add-on subscriptions, we'll share that context with our partners so our combined services are integrated and our clients don't have to do as much knowledge transfer. I'm SO fired up for this. It's a natural extension of the "open tent" idea - bringing in partners in this space we love and trust so we can deliver more value to our clients, all through our transformative (and FUN!) subscription model. I'm excited to see what our clients are able to do with this setup. We're getting started with these three - more to come! Let me know if you'd like to apply to join or nominate another service provider you love.

Shout out to our colleague, Petra Silton who referred us to our newest coaching client, Nuestra Casa. To thank Petra for her endorsement, we’ve made a donation to one of her favorite organizations, Conservation through Poverty Alleviation International (CPALI). Do you know of a nonprofit that could use extra coaching or development training? Send them our way! #DevelopingDirectors #referrals #thankyou #newclient #coaching #developmenttraining

We're inspired by this story bout a surprise planned gift in today's San Francisco Chronicle. Planned gifts are the ultimate ‘surprise and delight’ moment for nonprofits—like finding a little $50 in your pocket! But here’s the thing: when you combine that delightful spontaneity with a formalized program and thoughtful stewardship, you’re not just crossing your fingers to make your contributed income goal—you’re creating a reliable, long-term fundraising mechanism for your organization. By building relationships, offering creative options, and stewarding legacy donors with care, you can turn those surprises into a planned giving pipeline that supports your mission for decades. #PlannedGiving #DevelopingDirectors
