From the very beginning of DeepIntent, we recognized a huge gap in healthcare advertising: the lack of a real-time feedback loop to understand when a campaign drove a conversion. Tracking conversions in other verticals is readily available (think: online shopping cart checkouts) and, we'd argue, taken for granted. These signals are critical in programmatic advertising because they help the platform “see” which publishers, creatives, or locations are performing — or not. Using this data, DSPs adjust their bid prices for impressions and relocate budgets with precision, and automatically, using AI/ML. But healthcare is different. It’s FAR more complex to attribute an impression to a conversion due to the necessarily strict regulations around patient and health data. And there it was: the opportunity. We made major investments to build the platform necessary to do near real-time conversion tracking within the constraints of the stringent healthcare regulatory environment. We did it with an unrelenting focus on patient privacy because we had unique career experience working with health data. And then we integrated it deeply into our DSP. Just a few years ago, our clients were waiting weeks, months, or even an entire quarter to receive their conversion data—usually in the form of a PowerPoint or PDF. A programmatic trader would then need to read the report and then manually adjust campaigns. But, because the data often wasn’t granular enough, we saw entire publishers getting cut from the media plan, even though more targeted optimizations would've have performed better. We knew there was a more efficient way. By solving for real-time, privacy-safe conversion tracking, we believed we could: 1️⃣ Improve campaign performance faster and reduce wasted spend. 2️⃣ Alleviate the time burden on traders to manually optimize campaigns. 3️⃣ Enhance ad relevancy for patients, providers, and consumers. That’s why we built a DSP purpose-built for healthcare—and it’s working. 🏆 +160% in Audience Quality 📉 -42% lower cost per verified patient reached 📈 +10-30% in script lift for the average campaign Now, in just a few weeks, we’re launching the first of two major enhancements to our platform.
