Some really good thoughts here. I’m not saying AI will not change the world. It will. But what if it takes longer than “just a few years”. What if AI is like the Internet, something that took 10+ years to evolve? What if AGI is a mirage that is somewhere on the horizon and will require a long journey to get there? Most young people don’t know or ever experienced the Dot.Com Bubble. These things happen and will happen again. A bubble is a “collective hallucination” and it feels that some people are taking psychedelic drugs.    Regardless of what happens, at DataBank we’re going to “Keep Calm and Keep Building Data Centers”. The sector is strong. Our investors are strong and have a long term view.  Our customers are strong and have good businesses. They are growing because their businesses are growing and technology adoption is delivering real value add for them. AI is another wave of technology that will be incorporated.  Data centers are indexed to technology adoption. That will not end-but it will ebb and flow and sometimes too much to the extreme on either side. We see massive amounts of new entrants coming into the market chasing the AI gigawatt data center dream. This week I saw a 4GW project right on the border of Texas/NM and Mexico. Huh? Who is going to occupy that data center? These companies have no customers. No track record.  Most don't have money. These locations are in the middle of nowhere. As the article points out, AI companies are already pivoting to model improvements over more scale. DeepSeek hints that there are HUGE efficiency gains (and capability gains) from model improvements. Enterprises, technology companies and hyperscalers are going to want to incorporate AI into their existing software stack and data lakes. Those aren’t along the Mexico-Texas border. That’s why we believe in core markets, permanent data center markets like DFW, ATL and NoVA. That is where we are building. That’s why we believe in ignoring all the noise and focusing on our customers, our people, and our core purpose- enabling businesses to adopt technology.    One thing for sure – it’s going to be interesting.
