The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC and the Military Affairs Council (MAC) are evolving to better serve our community. After a thoughtful and strategic review, the CSCEDC Board of Directors has authorized the MAC to reorganize as an independent organization, effective May 31, 2025. The CSCEDC will remain the fiscal agent and work behind the scenes to assist with event registration and marketing for the Military Affairs Council through May to assist in transition while they establish their own non-profit organization. MAC volunteers will solely direct and execute their events beginning in March. This reorganization will allow the MAC to continue the focus on sustaining and enhancing military-community relations while placing an even greater emphasis on the unique challenges facing service members and their families. The Chamber & EDC remains committed to supporting the military, aerospace, and defense industries through advocacy, economic development, and strategic partnerships. To reinforce this commitment, the CSCEDC will launch an Aerospace and Defense Council (working title), with an industry-led taskforce, led by Seth Harvey, CEO of Bluestaq and Vice-Chairman of the CSCEDC. As we move forward, we are committed to working together to ensure this transition is viewed as a positive step for all parties involved, and most importantly, for the businesses, military community, and families we serve. We look forward to continuing collaboration and a seamless transition to focus on the constituencies we both serve in the military and defense ecosystems. https://lnkd.in/gZ6FBAkY
