Young innovators in the making! We had the pleasure of hosting a group of bright 9th-grade students from Lotus Petal Foundation (Lotus Petal School, Gurugram), who visited the Corning India office brimming with curiosity.   The students explored the science behind our technologies, resulting in a day filled with excitement and learning. Corning India recently participated in the 27th International Congress on Glass (ICG 2025), marking the first time in 40 years since the last ICG congress was held in India in 1986.   Over this period, the glass industry has undergone a transformative evolution, greatly contributing to the Indian economy. Thank you, Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (Cgcri), Kolkata (CSIR-CGCRI), for hosting this exciting event under the theme, “Glass: A Smart and Indispensable Material for a Sustainable Society.” We are proud to have partnered with CGCRI where Sudhir N Pillai, Managing Director, Corning India, delivered a keynote industry address, and Mathieu Hubert, Commercial Technology Manager, Gorilla Glass, Corning, gave a technical presentation.

Grace is always up for a challenge. One thing she loves about her job is the exposure to countless opportunities and challenges. As someone who believes in the power of innovation to drive progress and improvements, it is unsurprising that Grace resonates strongly with Corning’s value “Innovation” and seeks to implement it at work. By embracing the value of innovation, Grace seeks to improve and drive positive change within her role as a quality assurance engineer. She expresses, “When faced with a complex quality issue, I collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement creative solutions.
