The company is engaging its employees to truly understand the realities that lung cancer patients face daily. It's powerful. Called "A Life in a Day," this experience offers a powerful glimpse into the daily challenges faced by those living with this devastating disease. Anna-Maria Mikic, a Human Resources professional at Boehringer Ingelheim, participated in this immersive program and shared her profound insights. Over a 24-hour period, Anna-Maria engaged in activities that simulated the physical and emotional toll of lung cancer. "The limitations became clear to me," she said. "Things like climbing stairs were suddenly a real problem because you couldn’t breathe anymore." This experience not only deepened her understanding but also shifted her perspective on life, making her realize the insignificance of daily stresses and problems.
