Meet Nathen Causman, a Senior Planner for the City of San Diego! City Planners like Nathen play an important role in shaping the City’s future – developing long-term plans for housing, businesses, transportation and public spaces. Our Engineering and Capital Projects (E&CP) Department is in the spotlight for its use of technology to help streamline our Capital Improvements Program (CIP) projects. 👏 The American Public Works Association featured E&CP in the January 2025 issue of its magazine, APWA Reporter. The article discusses the challenges of growing demands across our aging infrastructure and how the department's Project Management Office uses various programs to help increase the efficiency and effectiveness of successfully executing our CIP. These programs are designed to ensure accountability, seamless coordination and improved outcomes for projects, which means the time saved by using these programs can be spent on other infrastructure needs: https://lnkd.in/gptEJRtJ
