Open for learning! Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc. welcomed around 200 guests to the grand opening of the Lincoln Hill Early Learning Center in the Twin Towers neighborhood. The state-of-the art campus combines three existing centers in the area. MVCDC is Dayton's largest Head Start provider. The City of Dayton supported the center's development with a $300,000 Dayton Recovery Plan grant. Commissioner Matt Joseph represented the City of Dayton. #DaytonRecoveryPlan #Momentum

𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲:  A five-megawatt solar installation to be built on an existing brownfield will provide more than one-third of the electrical power needed to operate the nearby City of Dayton Miami Water Treatment Plan in northeast Dayton. The solar facility will repurpose a brownfield site that was formerly home to the Sherwin-Williams warehouse (destroyed by fire in 1987), a location now within the Source Water Protection Area. Governor DeWine has announced that the Dayton Police Department is among the first in the state to complete the new Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. The recognition results from meeting 31 policing standards addressing core responsibilities such as professional conduct, bias-free policing, crisis intervention, and community engagement.
