The City of Kettering's Microenterprise Loan Program offers valuable support for small business owners through educational classes, networking opportunities, and matching forgivable loans up to $8,000 for eligible participants. To qualify, businesses must be considered microenterprises (having 5 or fewer employees), with owners meeting low-to-moderate income requirements and at least two years of operating history. The loans are forgivable if businesses remain operational in Kettering and stay current on local taxes for one year after the final draw. The program, developed through collaboration between multiple city departments, particularly encourages applications from minority-, women-, veteran-, and disabled-owned businesses. Interested entrepreneurs can contact Angela Rahman (937-296-2524) or Ky Gantt (937-296-3342) for more information about this opportunity to grow their business within the Kettering community.
