We’re excited to welcome David Schalk as a Manufacturing Engineer at our factory in Almelo.    As we got to know David, we noticed a real passion for bikes and performance. Meet a new Cannondaler, Ryan Braverman   Ryan is putting his Mechanical Engineering skills to the test in his new role as an Associate Test Engineer at our Wilton office. Having recently graduated, he got a head start by building six bikes from steel and titanium in a frame building class. As a total bike enthusiast, he is always tinkering with bikes and finding ways to make them even better. Ryan is excited about diving into the lab to do just that while working with test equipment. In 2014, Dirk attended the Eurobike show for a job interview and was immediately drawn to the Lefty forks. While he didn’t know yet how to improve their design, he was inspired by the open, collaborative culture on the suspension design team. It was here that Dirk’s journey truly began.   A memorable moment came during the Ocho project, when the team brainstormed how to tell the story of the new fork’s development. The bold idea of a single-crown Lefty emerged, with the product manager saying, "Yes, that would be a home run, if you can pull it off." A decade later, Dirk is working on the fourth iteration of that very design, with even more ideas for the future. Congratulations on ten incredible years, Dirk!   #CannondaleFreiburg #Comeridewithus

Not all wins are on bikes at Cannondale. We’re proud to share that PON’s global insurer, FM, has awarded our state-of-the-art factory in Almelo the Highly Protected Risk Award. In just a short time, the team in Almelo managed to get our new facility to the best risk classification level from an insurance standpoint, putting us in a group of only 2.5% of FM-insured companies at this level. Wilton Cannondalers used their Volunteer Time Off today to build new bikes and tune up previously loved bikes to donate to Wheels for Kids here in Connecticut.
