State Superintendent Tony Thurmond’s Mental Health Support Initiative focuses on supporting all students and fostering school communities where all students feel supported, respected, and valued. He has led efforts to expand resources and build the pipeline of student-serving clinicians, recruiting 10,000 #mentalhealth professionals for our students. The work is still not done! As September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Superintendent Thurmond and the CDE want all students, families, and educators to know you are not alone.
