Sanofi decided the post-activation patient journey deserved the same rigor as the science that gets patients there. At VivaTech this week, they're showcasing AI working across the full patient journey — including the chapter that most programs leave to chance. BrightInsight is proud to be a featured startup partner in that story, presenting in their connected patient care corner alongside a team that has deployed this at scale across real commercial programs. The pharma industry spent decades perfecting how to get a patient to say yes. Building what comes after — the intelligence to know when someone is drifting, and the ability to act on it — turned out to be the harder problem. That's the one we're solving. Together we can do so much more than treat diseases. We're connecting with patients and supporting them throughout their entire journey, from discovery to ongoing care. We turn drop-off into proven persistence — because patients on life-changing therapy deserve the support to stay on it.
About us
BrightInsight is the patient persistence solution for the world's top pharma and biotech companies. Your teams spend decades developing a life-changing molecule. You invest in activation programs, patient hubs, copay support and specialty pharmacy partnerships. And still — fewer than 1 in 3 patients is on that specialty therapy at 12 months (IQVIA, 2025). Not because the science failed, but because the support system was never designed to carry patients past activation. That persistence gap is one of the industry's most expensive blind spots. It costs brands $500B+ in unrealized value every year. More importantly, it costs patients the outcomes your therapy was built to deliver. BrightInsight was built for exactly that gap. We are the intelligence layer that sits between your Hub and your CRM — unifying the patient experience, detecting the behavioral signals that precede drop-off, and triggering the right intervention at the moment that actually determines whether a patient stays on therapy or disappears. Foundation. Intelligence. Intervention. Three connected layers. One closed loop. In a real-world study with Sanofi, BrightInsight delivered a 4% lift in both adherence and persistence. For a single brand, that movement translates to significant reclaimed revenue — compounding into year two, year three and beyond. We are therapy-agnostic, delivery-agnostic and built to scale globally. We layer on top of your existing Hub and CRM — no rip-and-replace needed — backed by the QMS-validated compliance infrastructure that regulated markets demand. The science your teams worked a decade to develop deserves a solution strong enough to carry it. The patients waiting for that support deserve it even more. Learn more at brightinsight.com

Most digital health programs measure surface level engagement — app installs, active usage, or maybe session length. BrightInsight and Sanofi measured whether patients stayed on life-changing therapy — and proved they can. Tomorrow at HLTH Europe, something rare is happening on a conference stage: a global pharma company and their partner are presenting real-world evidence they built, measured and validated together: a commercially deployed program with outcomes data. BrightInsight CEO Kal Patel, M.D., MBA and Sanofi's Pius S. Hornstein, MSc, PhD, Global Head of Digital Business Units, take the Life Sciences Track Stage 2 at 3:50pm on Tuesday. Together, they’ll share what integrating the full post-activation patient journey actually produces at scale. If you're in Amsterdam, it's worth the walk across the floor. #hltheurope #patientpersistence

71 out of every 100 patients your brand activated are off their life-changing therapy before year one is up. The pharma industry loses more than $600 billion annually to medication nonadherence and poor persistence. But the conversation about that number almost always focuses on the dollar figure and stops there. The harder question is: where exactly does it happen, and why does nobody see it coming? It happens in the post-activation window — after the onboarding call, after the first fill, after the hub hands off. That's the moment when insights go dark for the brand team. There's no real-time signal when a patient starts drifting, no early warning before a discontinuation call, and nothing to indicate a problem until the patient is already gone. The science worked, but the support system didn't. We wrote about pharma's leaky bucket — what it is, why it persists, and what it actually costs. For patients in their 70s and 80s managing macular disease, the assumption has been that digital monitoring won't stick. A year of real-world data from Stanford Health Care just changed that. Over 12 months, Theodore Leng, MD, MS at Stanford's Byers Eye Institute followed 118 patients with macular disease — median age 74, with patients ranging into their 90s — who were prescribed the myVisionTrack (mVT) app for at-home vision monitoring. Here’s what the data showed: → More than 80% of registered patients were still active at 12 months → 57–66% consistently completed 8+ tests per month → Patients who used the in-app reminder tested 20% more frequently → Most tested both eyes in under 5 minutes, on their own devices The primary drop-off wasn't sustained disengagement — it was the window between prescription and the first test. Patients who cleared that threshold kept going. Dr. Leng is presenting the 12-month data at ARVO today. Link to the press release in comments. #ARVO2026 #RetinalHealth #PatientEngagement #mVT

Today, we are so proud to announce an exclusive global alliance with Havas Health Network, designating them as our single global agency partner. The pharmaceutical industry loses $500 billion annually due to poor patient adherence and persistence. To solve this, pharma needs more than fragmented apps; brands need a scalable solution paired with world-class healthcare strategy. By integrating our compliant, "always-on" technology with Havas Health’s deep strategic influence, we are delivering exactly that: a pre-vetted, regulatory-ready engine that helps patients start and stay on life-changing therapies. Watch our CEO, Kal Patel, M.D., MBA break down why this alliance is the key to fixing the post-prescription drop-off. 👇 Read the full press release in the comments below.
Pharma brands spend billions bringing life-changing therapies to market, only to lose $500 billion annually to poor patient adherence and persistence. For a blockbuster brand, a mere 1% improvement in persistence recovers $50M+ in year one alone. That 1% also means 100,000 more patients continuing their life-changing therapy. Despite this, we are still trying to tackle complex, chronic illnesses with fragmented patient support programs. We know to truly change patient behavior and improve their experience, we need scalable digital infrastructure paired with world-class strategy. That is why BrightInsight has forged an exclusive, global alliance with Havas Health Network. By integrating our compliant, "always-on" patient orchestration platform with Havas’s deep strategic influence and global reach, we are giving the best and brightest pharma brands a pre-vetted, regulatory-ready persistence solution. This isn't just about launching more apps. It's about seamlessly integrating support into a patient's daily life so they can actually stay on the therapies they need. Watch the short video below to hear my thoughts, and check out the full details of our alliance in the comments.
