This week, the City of Boston Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion welcomed 23 leading e-commerce entrepreneurs from Hangzhou, China to Boston City Hall! These entrepreneurs met with our team to explore expanding their businesses in the U.S., aiming to establish local operations, warehouses, and showrooms—creating new job opportunities and strengthening trade and investment ties between Hangzhou and Boston. After meeting at City Hall, the group of entrepreneurs and OEOI staff joined President of the Downtown Boston Alliance Michael Nichols for a tour of retail and office spaces currently available in Downtown Boston. This visit builds on ongoing collaboration, including OEOI’s participation in the Global Digital Trade Expo hosted by the Hangzhou Government in September 2024. #boston #hangzhou #ecommerce #sistercities #bostonbusiness #downtownboston
