Happy Anniversary to Me! One Year Later: A Look Back On February 14, 2024, my time at JLL came to an abrupt end. It was an unexpected shift, but in hindsight, it was the best thing that could have happened. The past year has been one of the most exciting and productive of my career. Since launching BKREA - BK Real Estate Advisors, we’ve been focused on what we do best: analyzing markets, advising clients, and closing deals. In just one year: ✅ Three deals closed ($24M, $52M, $27M) ✅ 34 properties currently listed totaling over $2.4 billion  ✅ Dozens of institutional and private clients advised ✅ Formation of BKREA's Policy & Zoning SWAT Team ✅ Hosted hundreds of clients at The Knakal Map Room ✅ Started The Bob Knakal Show Podcast ✅ Written a new book "Selling Buildings" coming out in late Spring 2025 with Rod Santomassimo -World’s Top CRE Broker Coach We have assembled a team of passionate, hardworking market experts who are in the trenches together every day. I could not be more proud of the effort that everyone is contributing to the company's success.    With full control over how we operate, we’ve been able to move faster, think bigger, and execute more effectively. The response from clients and the market has been incredible, and the momentum is only building.   The Knakal Map Room has become the talk of the commercial real estate industry locally, nationally and internationally, with visitors coming in from around the globe. It is the most comprehensive resource in which to understand the land, development and redevelopment market in Manhattan. For French cuisine, I recommend Margarelle on 63rd Street, and for Italian, Come Prima on Madison Avenue between 72nd and 73rd. As for pizza, I've got friends who own shops, so I won't name favorites—but in New York, you're never short on great options. Looking back on my 40-year career in real estate, I'm proud of what I've accomplished.
