Today, we are excited to announce our innovative partnership with the American College of Physicians (ACP), which aims to empower a community of over 161,000 healthcare professionals with early access to side gigs, free training courses, verified credentials, and more. ACP is the largest medical specialty organization in the United States. Can pivoting from our current careers help us re-ignite our passion and purpose? Many of us as doctors, have struggled from burnout and fatigue from a broken healthcare system. Administrative overload, non user friendly EMRs, pre authorization and overfilled inboxes are just some issues and need to be resolved on system levels. AI enhanced technologies can certainly impact this. But some doctors have personally found solutions by evolving and finding innovative ways to spark their careers. To change careers I needed to learn new skills, be uncomfortable in new rooms, remind myself that I belonged, and invest in knowing myself. 1. I invested time to understand my strengths and weaknesses - coaching was invaluable here 2. I focused on building a team where we complement each other's strengths and weaknesses 3. I kept showing up because that is one thing we can all do and control 4. I have been vulnerable and learned that it’s respected and not something to be ashamed of 5. I have forgiven myself for not being better yesterday but working on how I can show up today 6. I have put my health at the top of my priorities (mind, body, emotional) 7. I have been kinder than I was before because it feels good, it helps others, and it helps set an example for the people who are watching 8. I can be better but it’s not being hard on myself, it’s motivating me to learn more today I’m hungry to win- or another way to say it I’m hungry to choose happiness and fulfillment, and that takes work. When you have a problem in business, you ask for help. I called my buddy Aaron Boggs and within 2 weeks, we solved a problem so we could execute on a great opportunity. He’s got an incredible company and culture that takes experienced executives with continuous learning and engagement… so we plugged an executive into Beyond Physician. More news to come… I’ve used flexible executives in a few companies and from a CFO to now a CEO role, there can be a mutual win at many stages of a company.
