Avalon Plano is officially under construction in Texas! This marks our second build-to-rent (#BTR) community in the state, providing residents with spacious floor plans and the convenience of professional management. We’re excited to partner with Watermark Companies and Rhino Residential to develop these 155 thoughtfully designed townhomes, which will begin leasing in 2026. Stay tuned for more updates!

Our latest This is Us spotlight features Autumn Moody, Mid-Atlantic Onboarding Manager and Black Associate Coalition (BAC) member, as she reflects on her early years at AVB: “One of my favorite memories at AvalonBay was my time at AVA Ballston Square during the early stages of demolition. Our offices were relocated to a two-bedroom apartment, but we navigated all the moving parts of a major redevelopment while still ensuring our residents and team had the best experience possible. Now I love the full-circle moments when I get to onboard associates at the properties I once worked at or managed. Seeing the next generation step into their roles and knowing I helped set them up for success is incredibly fulfilling.”

Last week, our LA Team embodied #AVBSpiritofCaring by volunteering at Food Share of Ventura County to support those affected by the Southern California wildfires.
