Ashoka Fellow Jacek Purski is transforming the former home of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss into a new research center on hate, extremism, and radicalization. This new institution, led by Jacek's organization, the Institute of Social Safety, and the Counter Extremism Project (CEP), will serve as a space for education, dialogue, and a commitment to building a future free from extremism, hate, and radicalization. #SocialEntrepreneurship #Changemakers #SocialImpact

There are 1.3 billion people with disabilities worldwide - approximately 1 in 6 individuals, according to the World Health Organization. Despite this, only one cent of every $10USD in global grant funding is allocated to the field of disability. This stark imbalance highlights the critical need for increased investment in disability-focused initiatives, particularly in underserved regions. At Ashoka, we are looking for social innovators with transformative, systems-changing ideas to improve the lives of people with disabilities to join our fellowship.
