  • Today's spotlight of appreciation is shining on Yuzhao Wang from our San Diego office. Yuzhao brings a mix of mechanical and structural engineering knowledge to his projects along with a healthy dose of passion, curiosity, and patience. Keep up the good work! Q: How do your personal and career goals align? A: Generally, I want to learn more about transmission, be more professional, and try my best to solve structural issues in this field. Based on what I learned, I am glad to assist clients to solve problems professionally and complete projects efficiently. Q: What made you choose the field of Engineering? A: Passion and Curiosity. When I was in my undergraduate university, I dreamed of designing structures and watching them being built. My passion led me from Engineering Mechanics (Bachelor’s degree) to Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree). Based on my passion, the roadside transmission tower/pole piqued my curiosity, and I started to be interested in using my knowledge to design this type of structure. I think it will be a special process for me. Q: Who has been a major influence in your life? A: My parents and myself. My parents always support me and sometimes give me useful suggestions. In the meantime, my curiosity in structural engineering motivates me to learn more about what interests me. I want my life to be diverse. Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years, 10 years? A: I want to get the PE license as soon as possible, learn more from an entry-level engineer, and become a higher-level engineer in 5 years. In 10 years, I want to be more professional, develop more experience at ASEC, and grow with ASEC. #PowerDelivery #MechanicalEngineering #StructuralEngineering #Engineer #Goals #Spotlight #Curiosity #Passion #Patience #ATeam #ThankYou
