Developing satellites to provide quality 3D imagery on a global scale
About us
High quality 3D imagery is the key to understanding the world around us and is critically important to a host of traditional and emerging industries. However, current methods of supplying this data are slow, expensive, or low-quality. Array Labs is developing next-generation earth observation satellites which will deliver a complete perspective of the earth in near-real time.

Big things are happening at Array Labs. Behind the scenes, we've been growing our bench of strategic partners to accelerate development of the satellites, sensors, and software needed to deliver the world's first real-time, high-fidelity 3D map of Earth. Today, we're particularly proud to announce a new partner: IQT (In-Q-Tel). We have received a strategic investment from IQT, which identifies innovative technologies to support the U.S. national security community and America’s allies. We're excited to partner with IQT, and to welcome managing partner Tom Gillespie as a board observer. This announcement complements several other partnerships and strategic relationships with industry leaders across defense, ag, heavy industry, and geospatial (which you can read more about in the press release, linked in the comments). Onward and upwards!

Jason Carman just released a fantastic Documentary on Youtube about the early days of companies like SpaceX, Planet, Astranis Space Technologies, Rocket Lab, Northwood and Varda Space Industries, Array Labs and other #dualuse and #defencefirst investments (several backed by IQT (In-Q-Tel)). Steve Jurvetson, John Gedmark and others join Jason to highlight the role VC's played in helping to build this whole new industry and contributing to advancing space exploration and technology. Jason also dives into the opportunities and threats from China, Russia and other adversaries in this new Space Race. While 90 minutes - it is well worth the watch. Well done Jason for your debut film!

We're excited to welcome Jisu Ryu as the newest addition to our team. As Senior Staff Engineer, Jisu will advance the development of algorithms that will transform radar signals into 3D models of Earth's surface. Before joining Array, at Lunasonde, Jisu led the development of novel algorithms to peer beneath the Earth's surface. Prior to that, Jisu advanced Capella's satellite imaging capabilities by developing new bistatic formation algorithms, designing a highly efficient processing pipeline, and implementing autofocus into the production system. Throughout his career, Jisu has continuously sought to push the boundaries of what's possible in AI, SAR, and more. His expertise spans an impressive range, from inverse SAR and multi-dimensional autofocus to interferometry and point cloud generation. He received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018 for his work on femtosecond and multi-dimensional spectroscopy to image photochemical dynamics of novel solar nano-materials. Welcome aboard, Jisu!
