💬 CAPTION THIS: A. "I need a stool next time." 📦 B. When you love VAV systems so much, you take them on a solo date. 💙🔧 C. "Here, we've found an engineer in his natural habitat. Notice his bright, visible plumage, and his hard, chitinous exoskeleton, prepared for any eventuality. Simply: marvelous..." 🦚 😆 Altura's systems engineer, Christian, assesses the functional performance of existing VAV equipment to help our client save money by reusing working VAVs in their tenant improvement project. Over the course of one business week, or 10 staff-days, we were able to test the components of ~160 terminal units. Christian discovered ~70 issues (or 1 out of every 2.3 boxes). Through Christian’s commitment to the job, these results were discovered and delivered to our client when they needed them. Thanks to our team's quick collaboration and technical expertise, we were able to provide a non-biased, highly technical evaluation of existing equipment for our client and project owner. This, in turn, helped them to identify and replace the appropriate components (rather than wholesale replacement) and avoid being in a situation where they would have needed to replace equipment after construction completion (the most painful and costly outcome!). Thank you to our team for submitting these hilarious captions! It's Women In Construction Week 2025! 👷♀️ Our team of powerful female leaders at Altura came together last week to celebrate one another, learn from each other, and give back to our community 💗 We had a fantastic time helping out at Orange County Rescue Mission's House of Hope to create care packages for the homeless, as well as prep student classrooms alongside their amazing staff 🫂 During our Women in Leadership workshop, we discussed the shifting tides of excellence through female voices in construction and engineering, and practical solutions to deepening our connections and professional caliber with our clients and internal teams. The Altura women and allies continue to display grit, initiative, mutual support, respect, and continuous learning, reinforcing the pride we have for our entire team in our collective path of delivering excellence for the built environment together 👐 Thank you for all you bring to strengthen our culture and bring superior building performance to the masses! 💪 🏢 🏗️ #WIC2025 #WomenInConstruction #WomenInAEC #BuildingExcellence

Did you attend Trellis Group's #GreenBiz2025? Check out our latest insights and takeaways from this premiere event for corporate leadership from our decarbonization and sustainability lead, Ryan Gaylord. What are your thoughts on #AI's role in #CorporateSustainability? Or the E.U.'s double-down on #ClimateChange policies? 🌿 🌍
How is your organization navigating the sea change of climate policies and AI-driven sustainability tools? There was a palpable buzz around these topics at #GreenBiz 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona this month. Technology, policy, and business leaders convened from a variety of sectors to discuss key challenges and opportunities across this dynamic landscape. Key themes and takeaways included: Global ESG policies are directly impacting U.S. companies: Despite recent rollbacks to U.S. climate change policies and commitments, the European Union continues to take positive action. Large, multi-national organizations doing business in the E.U. must now disclose their GHG impacts and risks to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and other ESG policies. At Altura, we are already seeing the positive impacts that these policies are having on driving additional capital toward decarbonization efforts. AI is accelerating sustainability progress: Across multiple sectors, recent AI advancements remain at the forefront of the fight against climate change. New tools focused on detecting human impacts on nature, automated GHG data collection, and prioritization of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission reduction opportunities are just a few examples. #Altura partners with clients to craft enterprise decarbonization strategies and implementation programs to achieve environmental, financial and operational improvement targets. Connect with us to continue the discussion!

Revisiting this insightful MSI and controls case study from the Nexus Labs' inaugural NexusCon stage in fall '24. In short: approaching building automation systems (BAS) at the enterprise level will help ensure your entire building operations run more seamlessly and securely, and save everyone some much-needed time, headaches, and energy along the way. You can check out the entire presentation on Rethinking HVAC Control: The Building Automation System Architectures of Tomorrow, Today, if you're a Nexus Pro member, or you can always drop us a line directly if you want to hear more straight from the source 🏢 💬
When working with enterprise-level systems, you face challenges that individual-level projects just don't have. That was one obstacle Altura had to overcome when working with Kaiser Permanente to bring their standalone BAS to a HIPPA-compliant enterprise system to remove vendor lock-in, improve data integrity, and increase operational efficiency. Kaiser's 60+ building system, with over 10,000 connected devices, puts a lot of stress on standards around communication speeds, protocols, and how you design a network. Thankfully, Jim Meacham and Keith Collom walked us through their entire process at NeuxsCon 2024. If you're a pro-member, you can watch the entire presentation (and if not, you can sign up!) here >> https://lnkd.in/gwHSMsei
