📢 EPA Methane Tax Updates 📢 Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.J. Res. 35, which disapproves the EPA's Methane Tax rule on oil and natural gas facilities through the Congressional Review Act (CRA). This resolution aims to overturn the tax, but it still requires approval from the Senate and the President. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) still mandates the tax, and Congress will need to repeal that portion to completely eliminate the program. If the CRA is fully passed, the fee initially required for this year will be nullified. Follow ALTAMIRA to stay informed on all updates!
