Some of our Executive Leadership Team attended the Strategic Partnering for Acquisition Development (SPAD) Industry Week at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in late January. This event provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with industry leaders, gain deeper insights into AEDC’s mission, and explore upcoming project opportunities. Our team also engaged with small business representatives from AEDC, Edwards Air Force Base, and Eglin Air Force Base, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration. Meet Dennis Ukkestad, one of our incredible team members supporting the Logistics Management Service Support Contract (LMSS) at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center! · Role: Material Coordinator with the Property and Disposal Team · With Aetos since May 2024, with NASA AFRC since January 2024 · Why Dennis Was Nominated: Dennis has demonstrated exceptional performance in leading the Disposal Team to meet all mission requirements, including critical deadlines for picking up NASA disposal items. He ensures the team has accurate and timely data to support the final disposition of these items. Additionally, Dennis goes above and beyond by taking time out of his busy schedule to ensure that the team consistently follows the proper processes outlined in our work instructions. · Favorite Part of the Role: " This would be a tie between the great people I get to be around every day, and the broad range of property I get to work with that ranges from Vehicles to Fighter Aircraft parts and various artifacts that have been involved in space missions like Space shuttle tiles.” · Favorite Accomplishment: " Assisting with the close-out of a NASA facility in Palmdale, CA, which was a historic project for the long history of NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center.” · Career Advice: " From the very first time working for my dad, He instilled in me to always work as if I were the owner and operator of the company, and this attitude of faithful stewardship has been carried into every position since then.
