"The La Margarita-Abeyno Energy Cooperative is a community organization dedicated to providing resilient energy to the residents of La Margarita. Founded with the goal of promoting the use of sustainable energy sources and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, this cooperative strives to foster energy self-sufficiency in its community." The neighborhood has put up solar panels on a community center and started a pilot program to install solar on five homes.
