Last week we had the pleasure of showcasing a billboard highlighting the Municipal Impact Award that Proyecto Luz Verde UPRM received at the Puerto Rico Energy Week 2024. It is a great honor to have this opportunity to celebrate the work and achievements of our team for the past 5 years. Proyecto Luz Verde UPRM is an initiative centered around energy consumption awareness, renewable energy education and design and construction of the first solar PV gazebo to be built at UPRM for the service of our community. Since the beginning in 2019, it has been a student led project supported by IEEE Power and Energy Society UPRM Student Branch Chapter and has become a university community initiative. We are very thankful for the efforts and support of everyone involved and we look forward to the construction in the coming weeks of 2025! Special thanks to everyone at Advanced Energy Group, especially H.G. Chissell and Jessica Lang for their support and opportunity to showcase our initiative. Thank you for your efforts of year by year coordinate the Puerto Rico Energy Week! We look forward to participating in this year’s edition kicking off in the West at University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in March 10th!
