It was a period of the world that ran from about 1400 to 1550 when man moved from a little more than just existence to the birth and exploration of the arts and culture, which many times also include the superstitions and mystery of the period known as the Renaissance.

Dance, music, magic and more became the mainstay of culture in Europe as the world transgressed into exploration of the arts and expression.

In the last few years our culture has taken great interests in the period and each year many people attend the Texas Renaissance Festival located about 55 miles northwest of Houston and the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie. However, the people of Southeast Texas now have the opportunity to experience the history of our world at the festival.

Whispering Grove Faire located between Jasper and Kirbyville on Farm to Market Road 252, about two miles south of the small community of Erin.

The Faire, which offers arts, music, entertainment along with mystic adventures is open each Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10:00 am and 6.00 pm through May 11th.
