JINR Newsletter #22, 18 June 2025

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Joint Institute and South African partners are celebrating 20 years of cooperation. At the opening ceremony of the South Africa Days at JINR, the Institute and Republic’s universities signed Memoranda of Understanding aimed at promoting science, technology, and education.

Another anniversary took place on 17 June. Representatives of the JINR Directorate, employees of laboratories, and guests from leading Russian scientific centres gathered to look back at the 20 years since the establishment of the Laboratory of Radiation Biology at JINR and celebrate those who helped it thrive.

In addition, two important research results were presented this week: a researchers’ performance assessment system and a new method of forming size- and density-controllable nanopores in tungsten oxide. Find out more in the JINR Newsletter.
