I normally enjoy the lead, this movie not so much.
Not sure if it was the script, overall cast or the cinematic approach to hide a pregnancy.
The male lead came across like,he was posing for a tourism guide.
The leads chemistry, seemed wooden & awkward.
I can see in a tv series a pregnancy, being worked around or into a script..
Why didn't filming be postponed as the lead for,a nature/adventure storyline was very pregnant.
We expect a certain formula, but hope at least some effort is put into it.
One enjoyable aspect,beautiful scenery.
I am a 46 year old man that watches a lot of movies. My main preferences are Horror, Sci-Fi, Mystery and Comedy.
With that said; - i really liked this movie!
Perhaps i am getting old and turning soft, but i am watching - and liking - more and more of these Hallmark movies. Most of them have silly, simple and similar content; Girl meets boy. Girl and boy clash regarding something. Girl and boy forgive each other and becomes a couple.
But - if you are watching a Hallmark movie - then THAT is what you WANT and EXPECT from the movie.
Just a romantic movie about a couple finding each other.

The storyline of this movie is fine. The scenery is spectacular, although all of this beauty could not naturally all be contained in one local. (The featured couple is in the middle of a lake, and magically spots river otters in the middle of the lake - I think not...) But the most offensive aspect of this movie was the "planting" of artificial flowers in way too many scenes. We've seen this in a number of Hallmark movies, usually in street scenes along sidewalks, or in front of homes. But this was a nature movie, and they show a mountain lake with a typically rocky/sandy beach, and fake flower stuck in the sand! These weren't even imitating wildflowers; they were fake garden flowers! Hallmark - let nature's beauty speak for itself. Cut the plastic flowers!
First the good....... The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I was shocked when I read that this was not a real resort/camp. The set design was gorgeous. The one thing this film accomplished was make want to go to a place like that.
There are times though I actually think the powers that be at Hallmark considers their viewers to be too dumb to notice. I noticed and a apparently a few others did as well. The plot is fairly similar to the 2018 film "Love on the Slopes". The personalities of the characters were nearly identical. The only real difference in this film was the lead female character did not have a boyfriend. Hallmark films have a lot of rehashed plots but this was glaringly noticeable. Its almost like the writers did not care.
I love a good escapist Hallmark film, but I'm starting to get tired of the retreads and rehashes.

The basic word for define it can be too predictable. That makes it a comfortable film, because the nature matters more than story. And sure, for a fist of reasons, it can be charming, from the effort to hide pregnancy to the memories of characters and the few animals. And, off course, for lavander field. So, a so familiar Hallmark film. Not bad, not good, only easy.
