The Debt Collector (No. 46)

There are so many interesting occupations portrayed in this show. We have people who can infiltrate people's minds, who can destroy the lives and credibility of anyone, and now we have a person who gets paid for getting revenge on people. Not for himself but for hire. This person comes into the picture when someone hires him to capture and exact revenge on Elizabeth. Red has to engage Mr. Kaplan, even though they are trying to off one another. I'm going to ask the million dollar question. Why is she so important. She's dumb and impulsive. She doesn't use common sense. She cares only about herself and her stupid childhood. Yet both Red and Kate feel she gets royal treatment even when others are being slaughtered. Here she makes another big mistake.

Julian Gale that is. I'm glad the season's nearly over, because hopefully that will see the end of him. I think it's being overacted a bit, which doesn't help.

Although I hate Mr Kaplan and Red fighting, I love her way of dealing with a cyberbully!

Already limping in a fatigue after an energetic start the series now is in a bit of trouble they bring in Enrique Murciano as Julian Gale who is just a bad horrible actor who makes you dislike his character but not in a good cinatmic way. I cant stand him and his acting style (or overacting) to the point that you kust want to go to the next episode. It is obvious from the beginning and I am not sure if his role does not reveal itself as a creep. Also the Mr Kaplan subplots does not work well here I feel that he reemergence could have been done in a bit more flare- the plot and the feeling both go south on a dingi looking for a ship to save them.

I've been binge watching the series and just wanted to make note of the absolutely awful directing or editing in this episode. It stands out from other episodes by having terrible jumps from one scene to another. Maybe the original version was too long for whatever reason and consequently the shortening led to clumsy editing.

Plotwise it's ok - although I agree with others that the Julian Gale character is overacted and just does not work.

Still, overall the best season thus far in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing how it ends and where it leads in the following seasons of the series....
