Carrots certainly qualify as one of the creepiest . . .

. . . varieties of vegetables humanity cultivates, as I've recounted at least a couple of other times elsewhere with the true story of my surname supplier's Mackinac Island Bugs Bunny impersonation gone wrong. CREEPY CARROTS! May well be reminiscent of the elongated orange scourge nightmares which befell that gentlemen during his ill-advised attempt to compete with a machine in the blending of carrot juice. Jasper Rabbit, the protagonist of CREEPY CARROTS, seems to be attempting a similar one-vegetable diet in this story. It all smacks of George Booker's 1836 stage play W-o-y-z-e-c-k, about the infamous Real Life killer deranged by the Prussian military's all-peas diet. However, Jasper is NOT beheaded here, unlike the unfortunate W.
