    Touching! My favorite episode EVER!

I liked the idea of the main characters becoming teenagers (I liked Phineas and Isabella the most as teens), I liked the parts with Doof's "mid-life crisis," I loved the song, "What Might Have Been," and most of all... I loved the ending! Just thinking about it makes me cry on the inside.

    Time flies

Okay, first I'll say I really liked this episode. I don't get what the problem was with the negative reviewers. It's a glimpse into the possible future of cartoon characters! Like character development, plot holes and such are something to be concerned with.

That said, I have some questions regarding the passage of time here. In the intro, the show creators tell us that it's set 10 years in the future. 10 years? The boys and the rest of the group are in the summer after graduating high school and Candace is in college. So are we to believe that the boys were just 7-8 years old and Candace 11-12 all along? Or is it that they just finally got out of HS when in their 20's? It's nice to see Ferb and Vanessa together, especially in light of their love connection in Love Actually, but Ferb is quite a bit younger. College woman and high school boy?

But still, this is a silly, fun, cartoon and it is a great episode.

Fantastic ending to a fantastic show

I think this episode really put a nice bow on the show in general. The episode had its flaws, but it was probably one of the, if not the best episode of them all in my opinion. It had a different feel then the other episodes, and it was nice to see the show do that, because the show rarely focused on the emotional side of the characters(besides Isabella's of course). The duet between Phineas and Isabella really exhibited that. The subplot between Doof and Perry did a fantastic job of providing comic relief, and really complimented the main plot nicely. Overall, I think this episode is the swan song of the show. Now that the main question has finally been answered, I would think now would be the best time to end the show. I know a lot of fans will probably say they want to see the show continuing, maybe doing another season for the years in college, but I think that would sort of suck the fun out of the show in a way. That would stray far away from what Dan and Swampy have done the whole time, making a nice, wholesome show about kids enjoying the summer and making everyday the best they could make it. I think doing a season in college wouldn't be fun. Anyways, I will say though, the episode kind of felt like a fan fiction. Because of that, it sort of made the episode a little predictable in a way. Other than that, fantastic episode, really worth the watch.

An excellent, heartwarming episode which will answer many questions

Having not watched Phineas and Ferb in a long time, I went out and bought the first season's DVD. I instantly started remembering those glorious days of 2007, and I didn't regret passing my time at all. However, like many fans, I had wondered what it would have been like if Phineas, Ferb and the gang all grew up. After seeing the episode last night,I finally got my answer. In spite of not providing enough screen time to important characters, the result was still fantastic. The show didn't lose its edge one bit, despite this episode being the 33rd of the 4th season. The songs in this episode are among the best this show has ever produced, and the jokes are still as funny as ever. The episode felt like a huge thank-you to all the fans; that being said, this episode is a must-watch for all the dedicated fans of the show.

i know what are we going to remember forever

My favourite cartoon for a reason a , a perfect group of friends. Best episode ever and this episode might will be best in future , you know what i mean , it's show how life changes after the teen years all the memories of our childhood left behind and all goes in their separate ways... Due to real different way to present Phineas and ferb makes the cartoon more than just a cartoon it's a felling we will never forget... a perfect ending for a perfect cartoon...

    curse you all the makers....

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: [singing] I wanted you to see me, but for so long, you were blind. Now it's time to face tomorrow, and leave all that stuff behind. Of what would our lives have been like, if you'd just given me a sign. 'Cause I like you more than every other thing I like combined. I spent so many summers hoping something would begin. I thought that I was over you, but here I am again... What might have been.

[Isabella drives away in her car, just as Phineas runs towards the restaurant, hoping to see her]

Vivian Garcia-Shapiro: [talking normally] Phineas, honey, how are you?

Phineas Flynn: Hi, Mrs. Garcia-Shapiro. Uh, is Isabella here?

Vivian Garcia-Shapiro: Oh, no, sweetie. She's gone.

Phineas Flynn: Gone, like, driving-car-to-school gone?

Vivian Garcia-Shapiro: Yes, you just missed her. It's too bad you didn't get to see her off. You know, since you were kids, she's had a huge crush on you.

Phineas Flynn: Ah... I wish I had known.

Phineas Flynn: [starts singing] I can't believe that all this time, you never said a word. Although it's possible you did, and I just never heard. I never even noticed, I guess I wasn't that alert. But I must say that, in retrospect, you were being quite overt. And now our endless summer is finally coming to an end. I tried to make the most of every day, but now the years just seem misspent... What might have been.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: I could have been your girlfriend.

Phineas Flynn: I could have been your fella. We might have been an item...

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: They would have called us "Phinabella."

Phineas Flynn: I would have held the door for you, I would have shared my umbrella.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: You could have held my hair back when I was sick with salmonella.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, Phineas Flynn: We could have been together, all you had to say was when. And though I wanted so much more, I guess you'll always be my friend... What might have been... What might I have been.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: [talks normally while driving out of Danville] What might have been.
