    A liar who lies ...

Emily Deschanel is a god-dess! She's always been beautiful but she had a clear, real-life pregnancy glow shining from the inside out.

Now the meats - The face: vomit inducing. Blehch. Right up there with that onetime they made a skin glove to get finger prints. Thanks, I hate it.

The A story/murder: meh The B story: Addiction takes many forms, and while it wasn't gambling, I have been on the other end of a romantic partnership in which my other half was struggling with addiction. They can lie so well, that they almost believe themselves with the story they spin. And you want to believe them, because you love them. Because on the outside, everything is perfect and you so desperately want it to match the inside.

Both DB + ED played their parts so well. I felt the slow tension. I felt the betrayal. I felt the desperation from both their sides of the story. While we never want our main characters to quarrel, I think the writers did something fresh here by creating a big bad within Booth himself as opposed to another serial killer arc.

The D Story: The chemistry between Ms. Warren and Hodgins is PALPABLE. It's a good thing he loves Angela so much because in another Bones timeline these two are vibing ALL the vibes.

    Other-wordly

Arlene Sanford is so terribly bad! Obviously she didn't think it could be necessary to create something somehow fitting into this series. She had no idea what she was working on.

    Oh No! Another Baby!

Obviously, our Emily was pregnant before they filmed this episode, so what else can they do? But we have had so much plot made tiresome by focus on reproduction. I suppose there will be a whole hour of a show about forensic anthropology having all the character goo gooing over the birth. Anyway, we have the murder of a man who was a big time gambler. Booth goes to gambler's anonymous. But his ego steps in and he insists on going undercover. The man in question won large amounts, yet there was no money with the body. So it had to be a player. Of course, our intrepid FBI guy throws out some negative possibilities at the conclusion.

Cam informs Hodges that the Berzelius beakers are $150 each. These tall narrow beakers are about $90 for a case of 12 (300 ml).

Angela Montenegro: Hey, Brennan, can I talk to you for a minute?

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: Of course.

      [They walk into Angela's office]

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: Is everything all right?

Angela Montenegro: Yeah. I... I just... I'm having one of those days. I feel like I need a hug.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: I don't know what that means, but of course I'll embrace you.

      [They hug]

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: Ow. Ow.

      Angela Montenegro: I knew it.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: You knew what?

Angela Montenegro: Sore boobs. You're pregnant.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: What? No, I'm not...

Angela Montenegro: Don't start with the sweet tooth thing again. Needing to exercise does not explain why everybody is saying that you are in such a good mood.

Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: I'm always in a good mood.

Angela Montenegro: It's funny that you actually believe that.
