Film Excellence from the Heartland

I saw Sad Clown at Holly Shorts Monthly Screening playing the Chinese Theater in Hollywood (of course). Though the venue attracts much local talent, Sad Clown's talented director/writer Jason Schumacher and the film's cast and crew hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

With polished cinematography, directing, costuming, and critical to any clown film, makeup ... Sad Clown explores the brave faces we put on for our professional lives, and what happens when the tension between our insides and outsides become too much.

As of this writing, Sad Clown is still showing only at festivals. If you get a chance to see it, take the opportunity. It previously received the Audience Award from Twin Cities Film Fest, US 2014.
