Our Cup Runneth Over

I did not laugh one time during the entire episode. And I have laughed at many other sitcoms so I dont think my sense of humor is the issue here. Literally nothing funny happened the entire run time. I saw a bunch of horrible people being punished by the government and while their reactions may have been realistic (I've never known a rich person) I didnt find any of it entertaining or humorous. I guess this is what happens when sitcoms finally run out of ideas. They copied Arrested Development but forgot to fill it with actual characters.

Nobody does anything interesting or worthy of screen time. And the children in particular are horrible caricatures of spoiled idiots. Its not entertaining, just irritating. How did this show set records for Emmy wins?

I heard that this show won many Emmys. A friend said they loved it. I hope it gets better because I did not find anything funny. Schadenfreude is they key here perhaps? It reminds me of Avenue 5 with rich people thrown into a bad situation who bicker about trivialities. So far, this show is not my cup of tea. I will give it a couple more episodes.

After having multiple friends recommend this show to me, I'm giving it a go (committed to watching the first season). The first episode has a promising start with silly characters that play well off each other but who also feel distinctly different from one another.

Obnoxious & stale. The drama is boring. Undeserving of its praise.

The first episode and season is the weakest of the show. It gets increasingly better the more you watch.
