Like the others, not my favorite episode. I suppose it started going downhill from the opening scene of Colter driving his truck anywhere but Lexington, KY.
The way a modern race horse is trained and prepared to be raced, an owner would never plan to race a horse that has been out of training for several days.
I cringe whenever I hear scripted programs have characters say 'between you and I' instead of 'you and me'. I heard it at l east twice by two different characters in thus epusode.
The worst error by the writers, unable to use the objective case, is NO one in Kentucky would call the Kentycky Derby the Kentucky. If it is shortened they would call it the Derby.

The show started off with such great promise, but just like every average procedural it is wiring itself down in standard formula. Crap. This latest episode just adds to that formula and I don't know why they feel the need to introduce another character to be a quote" nemesis". Trying to stick to the premise of the show and being straightforward would be much better. If they keep up like this, I'm just going to stop watching. I know Hollywood has their things that they want to emphasize, their social projects, etc. But this is getting to be too much. Political correctness, and gender equality don't need to be an entertainment. I want to be entertained and this episode didn't do it.
This series has been great so far, with excellent performances, and believable fight scenes & scenarios- but in this episode the "nemesis" was trying so hard to "act" it was excruciating to watch. It was distracting how bad she was... the whole plot was overshadowed by her poses and exaggerated eye rolls, and smirks. The woman's reactions were ill timed, her posture was forced, strange awkward body language...
I question why the directors couldn't see it- (almost as if she is someone's wife or girlfriend who wants to try to be an actress). Her inability to muster any believable attraction or chemistry between her and the lead guy was blatantly obvious. Perhaps she just needs a role with a female love interest. So disappointing, the premise of this episode would have been a winner had her performance not been such a disaster.
After watching the first episode I decided not to watch this show. However this summer I was looking for something else to watch to avoid reality and game shows so I decided to try it again on Paramount+.. Nothing against the acting but this show isn't very interesting. It's a somewhat interesting premise - a professional bounty hunter - but I just can't seem to connect with the characters. As far as this episode i know Sofia Pernas is Justin Hartley's wife so that was a cutesy tie. She was in a series Blood & Treasure which I enjoyed a lot. Her character in this episode has the same qualities. Not sure I'll continue.
Each episode has been following the same pattern, with Colter finding clues and getting himself into trouble. The stolen racehorse brought the show a different perspective; it's funny to think a horse is worth more money than a lot of humans. I loved the chemistry between Colter and the other bounty hunter, I don't think her acting was bad at all, she seemed really bad-ass. At least in this episode Colter showed interest in something other than the cases, if you know what I mean hahaha. For a higher score, we'd need more complex stories and longer episodes, but the show has been engrossing enough.
