EJ, a former military man and someone who doesn't think a woman can put it in the wild, is teamed up with Kelly, someone who likes adventures but neither of them have been in a location like Tanzania, Africa.

As I make my way through the series it's becoming very clear that the important thing are the two people and the setting. The setting here is quite good as they have to deal with deadly heat during the day and the cold at night. The lack of any real food that they can catch adds to the drama as does a medical condition that comes up. Both EJ and Kelly are extremely entertaining and the two of them certainly make this a highly good episode.

Now all you sadists can watch BDSM pornography on basic cable. If you get off on watching naked people suffer, you are not alone. This show gets good ratings. In this show they abandon a couple in the wilderness after taking away their clothes. These have to take a very long walk to find some dirty water they can drink. To make things challenging they put them in a place where the ground is covered by Acacia tree thorns. After walking on these thorns barefoot the man gets an infection that requires medical attention but was not fatal. Of course it is on Discovery channel so the can't have full frontal nudity. They have these blurs covering the genitalia and her boobs. The narrator says they are not paid and they don't win a prize for surviving the full 21 day ordeal. If they offered me $1000 a day, I still wouldn't do this.
