It seems very...tricky . First scenes are, obvious, about the invasion of white faces against Amerindians. It is so simple. You know so well the story.
But the second part reveals a different story. Not radical different but well nuanced, reminding a sort of version of ...Superman. Indeed, an invasion. A mother dead and an absent father. The friend of father raising the boy. And, after years, telling to boy, now a young man, the truth.
Sure, the good point is represented by the performance of Robert Alan Parkar - admirable narrator, by reactions of young man , well acted, nuance by nuance, by Aris Wolf and by the final image.
Not last, by the feeling about more than tricky story but about fundamental reality defining greed, its signs of distruction and the venerable people knowing the truth, saying it at proper time.
