I have been more than pleased with the return of Magnum and his long over due romance with Higgins - and the way the show runner / Producer have presented the romance is priceless in its subtlety and not taking away from the fun stores the writers are coming up with - I loved the Dog Topsy loop in this weeks Magnum and the lost necklace was almost ingenious looking for a lost mouse - really - what fun - Magnum is now only one of two top rated scripted network shows with the loss of Taylor Kinney on Chicago Fire There is an old saying that should be applied her " Don't fix it if it ain't broken ' - Don't screw around with the Romance - it is the glue and difference between a 6 rating for the first 4 seasons and a 9 average rating for season 5.

The increased Kashmiri is awesome but I wish they gave home more character development to go with it. Magnum is always good. As are TC, Rick and Higgins

BUT,..the second Kumu is highlighted in the cast, I always know at a minimum that half the episode plot will be weak. This one as no different. The rich old lady couldn't act at all. And that left Higgins a ton of weight to carry for all the scenes to make it half way believable. I cringe in Kumu episodes. This one is no different.

The other plot line was interesting but lost in Rita because clearly this episode was filled with padding. Still love the show, but this one was below par.
