Office Seductions 2: Naked Ambitions

Now that that great Adult filmmaker Nica Noelle has abandoned mainstream porn in favor of blazing new trails in the Gay genre, I treasure returning to her earlier, largely unsung triumphs in Adult Cinema. Case in point: this forgotten volume in a forgotten (and abandoned) Sweet Sinner series that served as an acting showcase for the equally talented Melissa Monet.

Monet plays a "woman of a certain age", working at Julia Ann's ad agency, and still nursing a grudge against her boss, who rose to the top by stealing MM's ad campaign idea 10 years ago. History repeats itself as now Julia's new boy toy Toni Ribas (just transferred from the Barcelona office at JA's request) steals MM's notes about a new jewelry line's ad campaign and represents the work as his own.

Toni is rewarded as the winner of an in-house contest to devise the best campaign for big client Cartielle Jewelry, much to MM's dismay. But justice prevails by the final reel, and Monet's dramatic performance is memorable.

Along the way there is the requisite intramural humping, or this wouldn't be a Sweet Sinner video but a rather inappropriate segment for Hallmark Hall of Fame on TV. Julia naturally beds down with Ribas; lovely Jynx Maze (who earns top billing) hooks up with co-worker Rocco Reed; troublemaker Cece Stone is stuck with boyfriend Michael Vegas; and finally, Monet has some satisfying older/younger action with her teammate Anthony Rosano.

Today's set of porn fans might find this hopelessly conventional and oldfashioned, but give me Nica's brand of sincere storytelling any day in a world flooded with gonzo crud.
