This was a good episode but the humour was not as sharp as we remember it before its extended hiatus. There were a couple of scenes or situations that elicited snorts and even short rounds of laughter from us but mostly it felt a little slow.
The kids in the show have grown and obviously matured in the nearly 2 years since the previous episode aired. The episode hints at one or more secrets related to Max and his parents that I'm interested in seeing.
The focus appears to have changed somewhat and will hopefully invigorate the series to run for a few more good seasons.
The storylines were interesting and entertaining and we look forward to seeing the rest of the season.

I was expecting the worse for this season 3 opener but it was actually pretty decent. Maybe they learned something from the terrible second season, but they managed to keep it focused on the whole point of the story, the resident alien, the central premise for the story, the main bit, and less of the boring antics of small northern towns and their not that interesting people.
Some interesting developments came, although they weren't massive, I liked that our anti hero was doing day jobbing at an underground base, I liked the grey, not sure what the kids were up to but they didn't come out of the 2 year hiatus well, The show isn't as dead and buried as it looked at the end of season 2, I hope they don't mess it up.

After a poor second season. I would hesitate to say this is a return to form. At least Lone Wolf started brightly. There is no way I will give season three of Resident Alien the benefit of doubt.
Harry Vanderspeigle has joined the rat race. He is a commuter, a worker now inside General McCallister's deep base. Hunting for the Greys.
One of them is safely embedded in the town of Patience. As Deputy Sheriff Joseph Rainier and he has his own agenda for humanity.
Harry needs to persuade a reluctant Asta to g on a date with Deputy Rainier. Find out more about him.
There was the return of the quirkiness from the first season. Yet I was left thinking that part of it was reheated leftovers.
