Some of the best acting I've seen in a very long time. So much chemistry between Baily and Ashley. No stilted awakward moments. So rare amonsgt even highly rated programs nowadays. Ranks up there with P&P 1995 which I would never have thought could happen.
The country visit held so many possibilities, and yet the screenwriters failed to take advantage of the two most dramatic moments from the book??
The garden scene with the bee was so tame and lackluster when compared to what the author wrote..... And the thunderstorm scene ugh. It was such a dramatic scene that brought the characters more understanding of each other and emotion. They totally dropped the ball.
And Edwina never had an emotional investment in Anthony in the books, and yet they have her pursuing him like crazy and getting engaged. It doesn't make for better viewing, it just frustrates those of us who loved the books. I expect changes of course when a book is adapted to a show, not it's sad to see them fail to take advantage of such potential.

Is there nothing she can't do well? She is an expert hunter of English game even though she has been away from England for years. She is an expert equestrian, matchmaker, socialite, and croquet player. Give her a lightsaber and call her Rey.
I was waiting for this season to come out and was excited to binge it over the weekend, but unfortunately this is not the show I was addicted to last time.
This season is quite boring to be honest with the narrative obvious from episode one with who will end up together... bummer to see such a good show failing to deliver..

For all the scheming in this world things never quite go to plan do they. Decent acting though honestly the storyline is too expected. It was all going well until you realize its only episode four and more drama will be required to make it to the end of the season.

- TriviaLady Featherington tells Prudence that Cornish people eat fish head pie. In fact, stargazy pie (sometimes called starrey gazey pie, stargazey pie and other variants) is a Cornish dish made of baked pilchards (sardines), along with eggs and potatoes, covered with a pastry crust, with fish heads (and sometimes tails) protruding through the crust so that they appear to be gazing up at the stars.
