Beautiful!

An absolutely beautiful Christmas special, the perfect mix of happy and happy-sad. Loved seeing Sister Monica Joans storyline end well.

So happy to have this wonderful episode for Christmas!

Let's all remember this was filmed during a pandemic so camera angles and character spacing was all different BECAUSE OF COVID!

That being said, it was comfort viewing and eased the soul at the end of a year where we desperately needed it!

What's with the face masks?

What's with the face masks? Where they really wearing masks during deliveries? Even home delivers? Or is this a political stunt during Covid?! Seems suspicious to me and didn't seem like real life.

Not up to usual standard

I found this Christmas special dragged in places and I didn't enjoy it as much as previous ones. Seemed rather forced at times and starting to get a little bit too sentimental for me. Still one of the better shows on television and always worth a watch.

At 2:48 Sister Frances says that Sister Monica Joan is 'waiting for Doctor Who to start'. Doctor Turner treats a man called Mr. Percival, who is played by Peter Davison, who portrayed the fifth incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who (1963). Stephen McGann, who plays Doctor Turner, is also the brother of Paul McGann, who played the eighth Doctor.

Goofs
In the beginning, when the nuns are in the chapel, all four of them are supposedly reading the same text. But Sister Hilda and Frances' books are opened close to the middle, while Sisters Monica Joan and Julienne's are opened near the beginning.
