Seemingly irreversible, the gonzo trend in moving picture pornography over the past 25 years leads to the conclusion, almost the current conventional wisdom, that explicit sex is all that matters in this genre, i.e., eroticism is passe.

With crude editing, explicit sex is reduced to a parade of nonstop cum, anti-erotic and boring in the extreme.
