Michael Sturridge crashes his car and kills his much younger wife Nicola, Tony and George are first on the scene, later Bob Cryer suspects that all is perhaps not as it seems.

The series feels back on form after two below par episodes, this is a particularly good episode, there's not a huge amount of mystery, you know how, you just don't know why, you watch this and want to learn exactly what Michael's motive is.

Good to see Inspector Monroe interviewing for a change, he's tough, and wonderfully matter of fact, he was such a cracking actor. Would it not have been CID interviewing though?

Paul Young is great here as Sturridge.

Good episode, very interesting, 8/10.
