Something About a Soldier

Major Hallett (Garfield Morgan) was a once decorated soldier who left the army in disgrace.

Now working as a mercenary for hire. He has arrived in Britain but a mix up over his hand baggage leads to a discovery that he has smuggled in a weapon.

Special Branch are on to him but they need to find out just what Hallett is planning.

A civil servant who was on the take in the newly independent Cyprus provides an important clue.

There are several familiar faces such as Rula Lenska who plays an air hostess who is in league with Hallett.

Morgan plays a fascinating character. A career soldier who despises communists and has a doting mother. He is also a sadists who enjoys torture, hence why he got kicked out of the army. Interesting to note that despite the lurid press headlines the British public seems to have been on his side. After all it was just some foreigners he tortured to death.

Craven and Haggerty has disdain for him and his cohorts. It leads to an action packed shoot out.
